Guadeloupe : complete change of scenery by the numerous faces and landscapes.

Guadeloupe is located in the middle of the archipelago of the “Lesser Antilles”, between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic. It is formed of two islands, “Grande-Terre” and “Basse-Terre”, separated by a small sound, the Salt River.

Guadeloupe: called “Emerald Island” but also “Butterfly Island” considering to its form, invites you to discover its numerous marvels nested in the middle of luxuriant vegetation. His area is of 1800 km2 and its average temperature is 80°F.

Basse-Terre: the left wing of the butterfly is an oval form with chains of mountains. His climax is the volcano of “la Soufriere” at 1467 m: his rain forest will make happy hikers, its climate is cooler. It is edged by the Caribbean Sea, its natural reserve with its mangrove swamp and in the south, its black sand beaches and its splendid view on the island of “les Saintes”.

Grande-Terre: the right wing of the butterfly, lightly undulating, has heavenly beaches, in the centre, huge fields of sugar cane, in the southwest part a multitude of green and wooded valleys and then in the south, beaches with calm waters protected by the reefs of coral where it is good to have a rest. Climate is awesome.

Saint Francois: is located 37 km from “Pointe-à-Pitre”, at the headland of “Grande-Terre”. It is one of the most tourist poles with “La Pointe des Châteaux», with a splendid view on “La Désirade”, islands of the “Petite-Terre” and “Marie-Galante”. It’s, nowadays, one of the most complete seaside stations of the Caribbean with its international golf in 18 holes drawn by R. TRENT JONES, its casino, its marina where from you will be able to leave in excursion for “La Désirade”, “Marie-Galante”, “Les Saintes” and the wonderful desert islands of “Petite-Terre”, with its superb catamarans, its group of restaurants, terraces, boutiques and night clubs, the old enlivened harbor, its spices market and to take the height, the airfield to fly over the neighboring islands…

Close by, you can practise all water sports: diving to discover the most beautiful sea bed, fishing and also practise tennis, golf, parachuting, quad exits, cycling, safari exits in 4x4…
